Great to work with the multi award-winning Kew Wind Orchestra, one of Britain’s top non-professional wind orchestras, on their new branding.
As a local self-supporting community band, the brief was to update their brand identity on a limited budget. After a few rounds of ideas and then development of their preferred designs – they were all agreed on the new look. The brand ident was kept with the abbreviated to KWO for ease of legibility. We decided to join the W and O to depict the wind instrument’s pipe and bell features. We also created a full logo version with the orchestras title for occasions when they feel the need to explain the group.
The colour red was retained as their chosen main brand colour along with a palette of golden yellow and deeper red all of which compliment the black outfits worn by the orchestra members and stage sets at events.
The orchestra especially wanted to use the new branding on their music stand covers which look great on mass and encompass the overall professional look as a music group.
