Having worked extensively with award-winning Children’s e-learning geography resource and community – Oddizzi, we were asked to design their off-shoot charity ‘2041 Schools’. Following Oddizzi’s team’s expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula for new online content, with explorer Robert Swan OBE, the founders decided it was their mission to raise awareness and sign-up as many schools of younger generations to protect the future of the Antarctic.
The 2041 Schools is a free educational resources designed and created specifically for children and we were asked to create the branding and website. The brief stipulated the need for a map of Antarctica to feature within the logo and the strap line ‘Champions of Antartica’ be incorporated.
The website has great content filled with ward-winning, free teaching resources for schools and needed to appear to teachers and children simultaneously showing the content and their key messaging. We kept to a water/ice themed colour palette throughout, and created child-friendly related graphics such as penguins and icebergs. We also incorporated maps of Antartica plus wonderful photography from the expedition.
